Our Story...
How it started...
A young man and a shy girl who never dreamt of travelling very far from home, found themselves bound for Cape Town to further their education. Little did they know it would lead to finding the One person that would be called Friend, Confidant and the Love of one’s Life.
It would so happen that the 1st day at the university campus would be the day he first laid eyes on this beautiful stranger and she noticed him too.
As fate would have it they ended up in the same chemistry tutorial group. Would you believe they never spoke much to each other besides enjoying each other’s presence? But he was always trying to steal the answers from her whenever he could.
After a few failed attempts at getting her attention, outside of the lectures and tutorials, he changed strategy… he struck up a friendship with her cousin Tafadzwa Marilyn Rukande, who made mention of Kundi's talent for braiding hair. This presented the perfect opportunity for Marvin, whose long hair was constantly in need of some TLC.
Thus was the first time that the two spent time together and everything seemed so right and perfect. Ever since that day... way back in 2004, they have been together as Friends, as Companions and as Soul mates.
The Story Continues...
The next chapter of their lives led them into a long distance relationship where they found themselves on different continents for long spells of time, but their hearts always belonged to each other.
They travelled, they laughed and they cried... together. This, is the greatest gift they have shared. Marv with his peaceful and calm demeanor and Kundi managing to talk through it all, providing a running commentary.
The knot was tied...
On the 20 October 2012 Marvin and the Ngobeni Clan, undertook the long journey from Johannesburg to Harare, to propose marriage and Clan Dembetembe was joined with Clan Ngobeni as one.
Our union was further formalized on 14 March 2014 in the eyes of the law.
And on the 30 April 2016 another milestone will be achieved that we will share with all of you and be joined before the Almighty.
We thank you for sharing in our joy.
